phobia

fire is probably my biggest phobia. ever since i was a child, i've had a plan ready for escape should the house erupt in flames overnight (still do, i have a box of stuff that has to go with me, and of course my murphy!)

a very quick micron pen drawing; if i didn't do it tonight, it wasn't going to get done!

have a good week, and enjoy the changing leaves and fall temperatures!

Do you have a fireplace? I bet Murphy enoys a good cuddle in front of the fireplace. Love this motion filled and colourful illo and it's always good to have a plan!

I don't have any phobias, but I am an awful worrywart, so I'm always planning ahead for the worst case scenario.

it looks good, though- sort of abstract. I worry about my munkies getting burned up while I am away. So I normally have to take one with me, just in case...

I can relate to this. We were in a house on fire when I was a teenager. It is scary and strange all at once. First you just stand there trying to take it all in, then once you realize what is actually happening, you spring into action. It is always good to have a plan ...way way ahead.

The illustration is filled with motion and emotion and great color.

OK. Should I know what a 'Murphy' is? I feel pretty clueless here....but I LOVE this illustration and the representation of fire in such a beautiful way.

See...and I'm just the opposite. I was one of those kids that was fascinated with fire. Back during church summer camp, they tried to get it out of our systems by having us light and blow out hundreds of matches to make a cross. But later in life, I had a pretty scary experience with fire while camping with some friends so it's definitely an element to respect.

Very personal and creative image of fire - lovely colours.

I've been afraid of fire too - until I dreamed one night, that our house was in fire. I was alone this speciel night. I dreamed, that I called the firebrigade and then I got the fire putted out - before the firemen came!

At the morning I woke up, satisfied - now I could handle fire, I thought :-)

lov the energy this illo gives off i can almost hear the crackle from the flames. ive always been fascinated by fire but i do have a great respect of the destruction it can do if left to its own. Sooo having a plan just in case is sound judgment incase there ever is one u wont panic. OHH like amy said Whats a murphy???? i must have had a sheltered childhood or maybe it was a neglected one lol

When I was litle I had a fear that something would eat my toes that stuck out the end of the bed.
30 years later I woke up in a panic in the middle of the night and covered my feet.

I love the texture of this one. I also like the colors - instead of being real yellow and orange you chose reds and oranges which creates a great effect.
